Foot Odor Solutions

Having sweaty and smelly feet is something that no man or woman ever wants to experience. However, this problem is actually more common that you Foot Odor Solutions, foot odor remediesthink. In fact, almost everyone has probably experienced having foul-smelling feet at least once in his life.

If you experience smelly feet occasionally, you don’t have to worry. There is just something you did that caused this problem. And avoiding such thing can reverse your condition. However, if you have persistent foot odor woes, then you must take your situation seriously. Since you cannot wear closed shoes forever, you better start finding ways to get rid of that smell as soon as possible.

Manage With Hygiene

In many instances, foot odor can actually be prevented with proper hygiene. First, you need to wash your feet with soap and water regularly. Many people, especially those who are perpetually in a hurry, tend to forget to wash their feet while on the shower. In order not to miss cleaning your feet, you ought to make it a habit to soap your feet first.

Aside from cleaning your feet, you also need to take particular attention to your socks and footwear. Make sure that you always use clean socks. Do not ever re-use your socks unless it is a matter of life and death. It is also important for you to refrain from using the same footwear for two consecutive days. Give your shoes some time to breathe and dry. You may also want to invest in shoe sprays or cleaning materials that will help keep foot odor away.

Boot Odor With A Foot Soak

If you have sweaty hands, there is a big possibility that you will also have sweaty feet. And we know that this is one of the major causes of the stinky smell of your feet and shoes. One way to help alleviate the problem is by soaking your feet in grapefruit seed extract and vinegar solution (one cup of vinegar and a few drops of the grapefruit seed extract in basin filled with lukewarm water) for about ten to twenty minutes. However, do not use this solution if you have a wound or broken skin on your feet. Do this daily for about 7 to 14 days and you will see huge improvement.

Know The Root

More often than not, the foul odor is caused by bacterial or fungal infestation. In order for you to eliminate the problem, you need to know what the underlying cause of your stinky feet is.

If bacteria caused the problem, then the grapefruit seed extract and vinegar solution mentioned above can be very helpful. You may also want to minimize your intake of red meats, such as lambs, beef, and pork because bacteria love animal fat. It may be a good idea for you to eat more vegetables and fruits while you are trying to get rid of the bacteria that produces foul odor in your feet.

If the root of the problem is fungi, which is also very likely, you need to find ways to get rid of them immediately because they can spread easily. In fact, the microbes that are responsible for athlete’s foot, which is a fungal infection that causes stinky feet, can also infect your nails. Furthermore, if your roommate or partner has this problem, there is a huge probability that you will get the fungal infection as well. You can eliminate athlete’s foot by using over-the-counter anti-fungal creams.

If you already have nail fungus, you better start addressing the problem immediately because nail fungal infection is one of the hardest to eliminate. One product that can help you beat nail fungus is Somasin.

Alternative Cures For Foot Odor

Foot odor may be one the most offensive smells in the world. Oftentimes, foot odor is caused by bacteria that develop or grow in human feet that are very Eliminate Foot Odor, prevent foot odortightly covered by shoes. The bacteria develop and grow at a very fast rate.

Foot odor affects many humans. If you are having this problem yourself, you know how embarrassing it is to have this condition, and naturally, you would want to get rid of it fast. Shoe inserts may reduce the smell but it will not make the problem go away.

Unfortunately, not much research has been made to address this problem. Perhaps, you can go to a foot specialist or podiatrist to help you design a treatment plan that is suited to your condition. Or you can try any of the following home remedies.

One of the most effective herbs that can treat smelly feet is sage. Reportedly, the continuous use of sage has been very effective in keeping the feet odor-free.

Accordingly, an apple a day keeps the doctor away. Actually, apple does a lot more that that — it also keeps foot odor away. It has been said that soaking your feet in one-third cup of apple cider vinegar mixed with a part of warm water can effectively control foot odor, especially if done on a regular basis.

If ever you run out of apple cider vinegar, one alternative you can use as soak is alum mixed with two gallons of water. Soak your feet in this solution for about 30 minutes, and do this regularly. After a month, you will be amazed that you no longer have smelly feet. Then you can also soak your feet in a quart of water mixed with five black tea bags. Black tea contains tannins that act as natural astringents.

The versatile household item, baking soda, is also a natural odor neutralizer. Sprinkle it in your shoes and you will have a pair of odor-free feet anytime of the day. You can also spray your feet with the juice of two dozens of radishes mixed with one-fourth teaspoon of glycerine.

If you enjoy eating yogurt, you will be very pleased to know that eating yogurt with live culture or drinking kefir will help ward off fungal infections. Also, take zinc supplements because zinc has the ability of reducing odor by making the skin more resistant to bacteria.

Other effective home remedies for foot odor:

Home Remedies for Foot Odor with Kosher salt:

Kosher salt is a type of salt that has slightly larger crystals than the ordinary salt.

Kosher salt produces a drying effect on the feet, preventing it from sweating. Sweating may trigger foot odor when it combines with fungi and bacteria.

• To use kosher salt for foot odors, just dissolve one-half cup of salt to one-quart water. Soak your feet in it. Don’t rinse. Just pat your feet dry.

Treat Foot Odor with Alum powder:

Alum power, or more particularly aluminum chloride hexahydrate, is a good agent to keep your foot away from nasty odors.

Alum power has a deodorizing effect on the skin, more particularly the foot. There are a lot of powers available in the market today that contains alum as an active ingredient.

Natural Treatments for Foot Odor with Baking Soda:

If you can’t find alum powder in your closet, you might as well go find baking soda in your kitchen counter.

Baking soda can deodorize your feet in no time. Just sprinkle one to two teaspoons of baking soda on your feet. Baking soda would absorb the moisture and it could hide odor as well.

Natural Remedies for Foot Odor with Black tea:

If you have black tea sitting in your kitchen counter, soak several bags in a small basin of water.

Use five bags per quart of boiling water. Black tea contains tannic acid that has astringent properties that could prevent your feet from sweating. Soak your feet on the black tea solution. You can also add some ice cubes for a more soothing effect.

With all these home remedies, you can virtually say goodbye to smelly feet. Eliminate Foot Odor
